Emma Jones is part of the practice nursing team and specialises in minor ailments and chronic disease management for such conditions as diabetes, Asthma and COPD.
Emma is a highly experienced nurse and offers the following services:
Dressings and wound management, blood tests, ECG examinations, Travel immunisations, Cervical smears, family planning advice ( including contraception).
Emma can also assist with health promotion/education advice and smoking cessation.
Emma is fluent in Welsh and can assist with any welsh speaking patients wishing to have a consultation in this language.
Lynn provides cover for treatment room nurse and undertakes blood tests, blood pressure checks, INR and ECG examinations.
Lynn also carries out dressings, child immunisations and cervical smears.
Beverly provides support for the Practice Nurse and Doctors as required by undertaking B12 injections, Flu immunisations, blood tests, blood pressure checks, ear syringing and ECG examinations.
Katie provides support for the Doctors and Practice Nurses as required by undertaking blood tests, blood pressure monitoring and performing ECGs. Katie also offers support with wound care and dressings.
Lisa is responsible for the organisation and day to day running of the surgery. She is available to help with any difficulties or complaints there may be concerning the practice and its services.
Siân assists Lisa in the day to day running of the surgery whilst supporting the reception and admin teams.
Practice receptionists are the fist point of contact for patients. They run the appointment system and take all telephone enquiries for home visits, medicals, results etc.
Paula and Rachael provide secretarial and administrative support to the Practice, processing hospital referrals, private letters, insurance reports and website updates.
Alex Coles is our practice Pharmacist, he offers patient facing appointments for medication reviews as well as providing support for the dispensary and Doctors as required.
The Midwives provide the majority of the antenatal care.
The team of District Nurses specialise in providing nursing care and support to housebound patients, those chronically sick, disabled or terminally ill.
The Health Visitors are available to give advice on family health, working predominantly with the under fives. The Health Visitors can be contacted on 01873735588.
CPN/Counsellors are attached to the practice and work closely with the doctors.
Lee Burrell is our psychological wellbeing practitioner, if you are 18 or over and experiencing mental health concerns you can book a 45 minute appointment with Lee. You can decide during your session what the best way forward is e.g. information and support you may benefit from and a referral if necessary.
Our dispensary team are responsible for the ordering and dispensing of medication to our country patients (those more than one mile from the town centre), together with supervising the repeat prescribing system for all the practice.
